I attended the Southern California Linux Expo in Pasadena, CA March 14-21 2024. This is the largest Linux event held each year in North America. It features many presentations and an Expo Hall with Linux related vendors and organizations. It simultaneously hosts other topics such as AI, databases, DevOps and embedded systems. It is a great place to meet people involved with Linux and these other areas.

Linux is a open source operating system. If you are interested in Linux and can attend SCALE I encourage you to go in 2025.
I am a Unix/Linux advocate and began using Unix in 1981 and Linux around 1998. I plan to use Linux as the primary operating system in the employee-owned corporation. If there is interest and support, the corporation may support Linux and other open source projects of interest. When the employee-owned company is ready to hire, I plan to use events such as SCALE to recruit new employees.
