Automation is accelerating, and its effects reach far beyond any single company or industry. This page is where I’ll gather my thinking on how automation is reshaping society - employment, relationships, and even conflict.

Other impacts
Automation’s reach goes well beyond employment. A few areas I’m following and will expand on over time:
- AI alignment - keeping increasingly capable AI systems aligned with human values and interests.
- Human-AI relationships - as robots and AI take on more social and interpersonal roles, this changes how people relate to each other, and to machines.
- Autonomous weapons - automation extended to military applications raises its own distinct ethical and safety concerns.
